Concert Choir
Meets daily within the school day, open to any interested student with a sincere desire to sing more effectively. Although not required, prior singing experience and music reading skills are highly recommended. Students are assessed on a wide variety of skills, including performance and are graded at level II. Level I is available for qualified students.

Concert Band
Scheduled within the school day and is open to any interested student with experience playing a band instrument. A wide array of styles will be studied and performed. Students are expected to read music notation and have a command of major, minor and chromatic scales. Students are assessed on a wide variety of skills, including performance and are graded at level II. Level I is available for qualified students.

Introduction To Music Writing
A one-semester class that is scheduled daily within the school day and designed to give students the fundamentals of music theory and composition. Included in this experience are opportunities to work with the sequencing programs; Sibelius and Finale. Students will use the knowledge of notation and composing techniques to create several of their compositions.

Jazz Ensemble
Open to students who perform with the concert band and demonstrate for the director an understanding of jazz scales and general reading sills. The class/rehearsal meets once a week in the evening from 7-8:30PM and perform for community functions in addition to high school concert series. Students are assessed through performance and graded at level II.

Macho Voce  
Men's vocal ensemble meets once a-week in the evening for 90 minutes and is open to gentlemen with singing experience. Students are expected to be able to learn music on their own. Interested students must meet with the director prior to admission. Performances include community events along with the high school concert series. Students are assessed through performance and graded at level II.

Bella Voce 
Women's vocal ensemble meets once a-week in the evening for 90 minutes and is open to experienced singers by audition only. Students are expected to be able to learn music on their own. Performances include many extra public and school functions in addition to high school concert series. Students are assessed through performance and graded at level II.

History of Western Music
A non-performance class in which students listen to and examine musical styles from Greek to modern times. Assessments are primarily through identification of listening examples. Although helpful, music reading and performance skills are not required.

Marching Band
An integral part of the Concert Band curriculum and involves numerous parade marching events. Emphasis is placed upon coordinating precision marching rudiments with musical expression. Students meet during the normal concert band class time with most performances occurring on the weekend. 

Flag team and color guard members are integral but auxiliary members of the Marching Band. Students are expected to participate in all events outside of school time. The Flag team is open to students through try-outs only and will meet for 4-5 hours a week during the fall and spring season. Students interested in the color guard must pass a basic performance skills test.
